YOUR NEW OPPORTUNITY

This position will provide support for Build Change Indonesia projects implementation, ensuring effective and efficient coordination and communications. You will be expected to assist the project management in achieving the results defined in the project goals. This position reports to the Indonesia Country Program Manager.

COORDINATION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for efficient coordination within the project team and with the project stakeholders.
  • Responsible for documenting and managing appropriately project data and information.
  • Assist in ensuring the project goals, strategies, and work plan are being well implemented.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner that could impact the project schedule with the project team and stakeholders.
  • Support project management system, including tracking project progress and updating notes in monday.com and other project management tools.
  • Assist in preparing good quality project reports, internally and externally, on a regular basis as required by the supervisor and as stipulated in grant or contractual agreements.
  • Assist in ensuring projects operate consistently and ethically within the mission and values of Build Change.

COMMUNICATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for ensuring clear, efficient, and timely communications with the project team and stakeholders, including government authorities, partners, and communities.
  • Ensure proactive and timely communications with supervisor regarding project challenges.
  • Responsible for good quality documentation of project activities, outputs, and stories through photos and videos.
  • Support any project communications materials conception, development, delivery, and dissemination for project implementation, including training materials, as well as for the materials aimed at spreading projects stories through social networks and social media posts.
  • Support the planning and execution of events, focus group meetings, or training sessions where Build Change is responsible to organize the forum/session.

Other Responsibilities

Opportunity-dependent:

  • Travel, when necessary to support Build Change’s programs advocacy and promotion in Indonesia.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the supervisor.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

You have:

  • Superior and professional organization and coordination skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communications and superior communication skills, which include the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, adapt based on audience across regions and cultures in Indonesia, formal and informal oral communication, written communication, and visual/graphic aids.
  • Demonstrated experience working successfully with interpersonal, liaison, and negotiation skills with different project stakeholders.
  • Language proficiency/fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English, spoken and written.

Your experience includes:

  • Minimum 5 years professional experience in project coordination or management with the ability to supervise and coordinate staff, as well as set and achieve project objectives.
  • Experience in communications within the development sector, non-profits or social enterprises, with a humanitarian core.
  • A knack for using social media and social networks to market products and services. and develop metrics for tracking communication effectiveness.

You would describe yourself as:

  • Skilled at coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-directed, with a high level of integrity and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Curious, optimistic, tenacious, and willing to find and implement sustainable solutions.
